Madeleine Peyroux does not limit herself to interpreting songs: she possesses them...and vice versa. Peyroux could be in possession of an ancient soul or 'was born with it'; that was manifested in 1996, with the publication of her first album, a work that revealed an extraordinary intelligence in that the singer contributed a similar intuition in material collaborated with Billie Holiday, Bessie Smith and Patsy Cline. She performed 'La Vie en Rose ' by Edith Piaf.

‘Half the Perfect World’, produced by Larry Klein, serves both as a complement and as a counterpoint of its predecessor, ‘Careless Love’ of 2004, who unleashed praises and who sold more than one million copies in the entire world.
