With chef Jordi Herrera, famed equally for his commitment to classic Catalan cooking and for his bountiful creativity, at the helm, Manairo is a wonderfully modern restaurant with its feet on the ground. The name is taken from local mythology, while the décor is playfully up-to-the-minute. Smart, with sleek design, white table linens and fine service, Manairo is a pocket-sized gem where the patron visits each table. Starters may include smoked bonito tuna with pine nut salad, main course of Foie Gras and Carquinolis de Pasas (sultanas) with orange, apple, and judias (beans) sauce, dessert of vine-ripened peach with yoghurt and pineapple.
Larger groups info: Somehow, the words 'Manairo' and 'groups' don't fit in quite the same way as in any other restaurant. This one is amuse-bouche in size, completely under the direction of its famed chef-patron. A maximum of 25 fortunate diners can be seated in the attractive, modern restaurant. In addition to the sublime a la carte offerings, a generous host could command the menu taste menu for the party to make an unforgettable evening. After enjoying aperitifs in the dining room hung with original art. Menu may include dishes like eggs a la Romana with lentils, Butifarra (Catalan cured meats) and truffle oil or vodka with grapefruit and passion fruit.
