Colombian Dj situated in Barcelona. Adriana Lopez initiated her career as dj in '99 in the underground dj circuit of Bogota. She has played in festivals, clubs and raves in different countries in Europe and America such as USA, France, Portugal, Italy, Letonie, Spain, Venezuela, Peru and Colombia.
At present Adriana Lopez is a teacher in Microfusa School of Sound in Barcelona. She teaches dj mixing and audio production specializing in Pro-Dj, Dj Production, Advanced Music Production, Musical Data Processing and Electronic Music.
Adriana Lopez's sessions are emphasized with pure technique and connection with the public, combining techno sounds that create a force with industrial shades. Since the year '05 she explores Drum n' Bass, without leaving her techno and minimalist music on the side. A year later she becomes a member of Surco, a collective of Drum 'n' Bass selects and promoters situated in Barcelona.
Groups such as NIN, Prodigy, Front 242 and Depeche Mode showed her the electronic sounds of the early 90's. Subsequently she entered in contact with the sounds of Detroit with the productions of Jeff Mills and Joey Beltram.
Her first dj residency was in the year '00 in The Room Club of Bogotá and in '01 passed to be a resident of "Club BarC", the only 100%-Techno club of the city. It was there where she began to leave the sounds of Detroit to a stronger sound influenced by artists such as Oscar Mulero, Adam Beyer, Chris Liebing, Regis and Surgeon.
In the '06 she created, along with the vj AV-K, the collective SoundDVision, a platform for experimentation and audiovisual interaction in which she combines sound with image in real time.
