The special feature of Parc de Cervantes (Cervantes Park) resides in that nearly half of its 9.15 hectares of surface is occupied by about 10 thousand roses of 220 different varieties.

Since 2001, this rose garden is the headquarters of the Concurso Internacional de Rosas (International Rose Contest). In autumn, the Ayuntamiento de Barcelona (City Council) is in charge of cultivating the different European roses that participate in this competition, for which a special space is reserved of 900 m².
