The Ciutadella Park is situated in a very special place of Barcelona. During some years it was the only park in the city and it now remains the park of choice.

In the beginning, it was a citadel constructed by Felipe V during the War of the Spanish Succession. Subsequently, it was reformed by the architect Josep Fontseré i Mestre for the Universal Exposition of 1888.

In this park of more than 18 hectares, we find the Museo de las Museo Ciencias Naturales (Museum of the Natural Sciences), the Hivernacle, the Barcelona Zoo (30 hectares adjoining) and the Catalonian Parliament.

Youth, kids and adults take advantage of the sunny days to stretch, rest or relax to the sound of sound music band that play around there, while others practice tai-chi, acrobats or enjoy a book.
