The expansive wave of "Grindin", hit single that shook the foundations of rap in mid 2002, was the sensational coming out of Clipse, duo from Virginia formed by brothers Gene and Terrence Thornton. Better known as Malice and Pusha-T, the Americans got allied then with The Neptunes to force the machine and step on the gas of a race that started intermittently with the semi clandestine “The Funeral” and got stronger and speedy with the edition of "Lord Willin" – reinterpretation of hip hop spurred on by prodigious bases and rimes like the classics of the genre. Their final exam arrived in 2006 with "Hell Hat No Fury", record in which they doubled their bet on baroque productions and synthetic rhythms, backed again by The Neptunes.
