Born in Tupero, Mississippi and raised among the alligators in humid Florida, Wes Pentz has become a citizen of the world on his own merit. His open approach to mixing and music in general, which blurs the boundaries between Jamaican rhythms, the adrenalin of the favelas and the dirty south sound, has led him to produce for M.I.A. and Kano, and to remix Gwen Stefani, Le Tigre and DJ Shadow, among others. From dubstep to bhagra in fractions of a second, without losing his sense of humour.
