Very little time passed between the release of “Stalker” (one of Rough Trade’s best hits of 2004) and the day on which Shackleton decided to lay the first stone for Skull Disco, the label he created in partnership with Laurie "Appleblim" Osborne. Since then, his productions have injected fresh air into dubstep, adding African percussion, ethnic voice samples and elements stolen from Basic Channel techno and the genre's characteristic subwoofers.
