Blaine and his friend William started out on instruments which Blaine's dad, Henry, bought for them when they were just eight years old. They probably never imagined then that, years later, the three of them -father, son and best mate- would be in a band together (Kapil and Kai would join later). In 2005, after releasing a bunch of brilliant singles and catching the attention of the NME, who made them the openers for their annual U.K. tour, they released their debut album. 'Making Dens' (2006) emerged as the new, arty, almost progressive, and surprisingly danceable version of the latest batch of neo-rock to create waves on the English scene. Now, after spending 2007 dividing their time between the studio and an extensive U.S. tour supporting the Klaxons, Mystery Jets are here to present their second album, which was produced by the one and only Erol Alkan and is crowned by the excellent single 'Young Love', featuring the new pop-folk star Laura Marling.
