In the seventies, a famous petrol company suggested that you "put a tiger in your tank". Ever since the Canadian Tiga decided to put a Turbo in his life, he hasn’t looked back. His mechanical pop, woven from playful electrofunk and techno, was picked up on immediately by the young electroclash crowd. His first album, the hot and steamy 'Sexor', made in close collaboration with Soulwax and Jesper Dählback, came out in 2006 and launched him into the stratosphere, where he did his bit for global warming with red hot singles like 'Far From Home' and 'Good As Gold'. Recently, he recorded the single 'Lower States Of Consciousness' with his friend Zombie Nation. An ironic nod to the work of Josh Wink, it also includes a Justice remix. His label, Turbo, can’t stop producing ballistic dancefloor tracks, and while in between projects, Tiga regularly offers up knock-out sessions on his laconically named podcast 'My Name Is Tiga'.
