Together with the quarter of the Born, this is the favorite street for those who look for the latest trends in clothes. The numerous shops that decorate the street are jam-packed with the coolest of the cool with establishments of well-known brands, like American Apparel, or others more modest that offer pieces very difficult to find as they are unique designs of handmade creations.

The decoration shops of are another strong point of the street that, for its brothels, inspired Pablo Picasso to paint Les Demoiselles d’Avignon (The Dames of Avingon). Of this epoch a long time has passed and these places have given way to restaurants and bars where one can eat at good price.

To gain access for the first time to this street could turn out to be complicated for remaining a little protected and eclipsed by Las Ramblas. Nevertheless, the visitor must continue on to Ferran street that goes down the City Council and turn in the first corner to the left hand side.
