The Casa Company, projected by
Josep Puig i Cadafalch
, was constructed in 1911.
The experts classify as a period of trajectory of the architect, the white era, defined like the rational idealism. Without his own profuse decoration of the previous epoch (Modernism) and with a style much more naked, the design of these buildings is based in the tastes of the new high class Bourgeois of the time, more rational and practical.
Puig i Cadafalch travelled to Germany in 1909, two years before the construction of this house, and was swept away by the architecture and the town planning of the Germans. So, in the
Casa Company
various reminiscent of alpines can be observed, like the sgraffito in the façade.
What was an unfamiliar dwelling of the Eixample district, in two years was converted in to a clinic.
