Ferran Adrià was born on 14 May 1962 in Santa Eulàlia, a quarter of l'Hospitalet de Llobregat, province of Barcelona. He achieves his basic studies in Colegio Casal dels Àngels and in the Colegio de San Isidro de Barcelona. During these years he lives with his family, Ginés Adrià, Josefa Acosta and his brother Albert. His relation with the kitchen is void, being a normal child, that is to say not very gourmet. His passion is football, playing in the Juventud de l’Hospitalet until 1974 and in the Santa Eulàlia FC until 1980.
