Nandu Jubany was born in Monistrol de Calders on 19 January 1971 and is a young restaurateur that has acquired great experience and notable press in a just few years.

At the age of eighteen he entered as kitchen chef in the Urbissol, a family banquet restaurant and worked in other restaurants that proportioned him with new knowledge, like the Cabo Mayor (Madrid), where he learnt to manage a number of staff. In the Basque Country, he was also with Juna Mari Arzak and, in the same way, fifteen days later at Bodegón Alejandro, where Martín Berasategui was head chef. With these he learnt what it was like to work in a gastronomy restaurant.

The treatment of the hunted meats, he learnt in the Fonda Sala de Olost de Lluçanès.

The youthfulness and the wisdom of Nandy Jubany and his kitchen is owed to his teachers, like Faust Terradó, that gave him confidence to initiate his career and another, Carles Gaig, where he used to cook on his weekly day off, and who he has shared an human and culinary affinity .

In 1995, he opened a rural house-restaurant in Calldetenes, and with his wife, Anna, he projected the Can Jubany restaurant in to a reference point for the most modern and innovative. The Michelin guide recognised his talent and his career and awarded him with one star.
