Ten years after the release of their first and best album, the Glaswegian band Mogwai are coming to perform an exclusive live interpretation of the whole of 'Young Team' (1997). It was that album of devastating rock based on the extreme contrast between silence and noise, between calm and rage, which converted Mogwai into standard bearers and guardians of post-rock. Mostly instrumental (with the exception of the lyrics written by Aidan Moffat for 'R U Still In 2 It'), 'Young Team' is considered to be one of the high points of '90's rock, influenced by the bleak musical landscapes of Slint and Talk Talk, and the anger of Joy Division and Sonic Youth. With their new record, which features exquisite bonus live tracks, collaborations and a version Spacemen 3, ready for release in the summer, Mogwai have come to help us remember a classic.
