Patrice Bart Williams names Bob Marley, Burning Spear, Fela Kuti and Jimi Hendrix among his heroes, and his music takes a little bit from each of them. Born in Cologne to a German mother and African father, Patrice –also known as Baba Tundé- has been composing music since the age of twelve. After his work with the afro-beat group Bantu, in 1999 he made his solo debut with the EP 'Lions'. Ever since then, Patrice Bart Williams has been on solid ground. He's had three studio albums and one live album, 'Raw & Cut' (2006), which was released along with a DVD. His unique sound draws on reggae and American based folk as well as hip hop and jazz. Now, to promote his forthcoming album, 'Free Patri-Ation' (2008), Patrice will be sharing his unique talent and charisma with us on stage this summer.
