The Majorcan band Antonia Font are one of a kind. In a musical career spanning ten years, every one of their albums - 'Antonia Font' (1999), 'A Rússia' (2001), 'Alegria' (2002), 'Taxi' (2004), 'Batiscafo Katiuskas' (2006) and 'Coser y Cantar' (2007)- has been a work of talent and imagination which has delighted fans of good pop music everywhere. After becoming one of the hottest bands on the Spanish indie scene, they have achieved such feats as selling out Barcelona's Liceu opera house on their recent tour with an orchestra, and being the first band who sing in Catalan to win first prize at the Spanish Music Awards. Loyal only to themselves, Joan Miquel Oliver's fantastic lyrics are awash with surrealist imagery, and their confident, lively pop has a catchy feel good vibe which makes them a wonderful anomaly on the Spanish music scene.
