If Herman Düne defines his music on his MySpace page as "surf-folk-grunge" the guys from E.G.M (El Guisante Mágico or The Magic Pea) could well define theirs as "surf-folk-glam". After getting together barely three years ago, E.G.M have become one of the most talked about Barcelona bands. Led by Aldo Comas (parachutist, member of the audio-visual production company Sofa Experience, and total showman), they can confidently claim to be up there with the best of the international music scene thanks to their energetic gigs and because Jordi Labanda has labelled them "the most stylish group in the whole country". Following their first EP, 'Pink Butterfly', and after going ballistic on MySpace, the beginning of 2008 saw the release of their debut, 'Love, Lust & A Bit Of Champagne'. This is catchy pop with slight echoes of the Tindersticks and R.E.M., a warm folky feel and a certain cabaret feel which makes them a reañ treat to see on stage. Beautiful
