Quite a lot has rained since the start when Gloria Estefan was on the frontline of Miami Sound Machine, when at the beginning of the 80’s created the base of Latin pop uniting the Caribbean spirit and contemporary productions. Her international notoriety kept growing with album to album, to debut her solo work in 1989 and keep on discovering an artistic trajectory plagued by hits.
Her latest discography delivery bears the title '90 Millas', a contemporary album in Spanish with spectacular collaborations like the ones of Carlos Santana, José Feliciano and La India. The title of the album makes reference to the distance that exists between Cuba and Miami, metaphor of her professional life.
'No llores' (Don´t Cry) was the single that the singer presented worldwide her latest album. Very quickly, the song positioned itself in the first posts of the North American charts and her album attained number one in The Netherlands. In Spain, '90 Millas' has now gone gold.
The concert that Gloria Estefan will give in Barcelona forms part of her European tour, in which she will also offer concerts in Holland and London.
