Benito Lertxundi (Orio, 1942), is one of the most important creators of Basque music. The beauty of his songs, sincere and passionate, as well as the depth of his interpretive feelings, is always constant which are supported along his entire career. These characteristics do that his songs are recreated and admired much further of the environment of the proper author, who provides them undoubtedly with a popular universal character and they do of Benito Lertxundi an unavoidable reference in the contemporary history of the music and the Basque culture.
