It is a re-run through the work of the great Catalonian painter Salvador Dali. It is a exhibition where over 700 works, exclusive pieces of private collections, are shown, among others, 70 sculptures... But there are also works from different domains: 200 photographs,400 engravings, and 40 water-colours and drawings. To know the hidden work of this famous plastic artist.
Eroticism, the sea, the horse, Don Quijote, mythology or religion are some of the themes that the surrealistic genius chose for his sculptures.
Among the exhibits, a drawing called "Cubist Composition" stands out,which was done by Dali when he was 18,and another that he did with Frederico Garcia Lorca. The canvas of La Huri or the series of lithographs dedicated to Faustus or the Divine comedy are other added attractions of the exhibition, which being the only stable space on Dali, in Barcelona, aims at being the Artist’s reference, during the International Dali year, in the forthcoming 2004.
