The EMAV participates actively in the formation of students in the field of audiovisual communication since 1970. The intense evolution of the sector throughout the decades, has contributed to the institution some convictions of the how and what to teach the students.
The formation is ample and combined with a strong specialisation, with a system to introduce the student to the professional world. Video, television, radio, cinema, multimedia, are different expressions of the same language, and only since the dominance of the total it can be aspired to the excellency in some of the technologies. In another way, group work is essential in the profession, what role each person takes completely depends on the others. When the hands are united in harmonic connection, the final result is superior to the sum of individual efforts. The study plans of EMAV strengthen this necessity to the maximum. Lastly, the project system is the best methodology for an apprentice: audiovisual productions achieved by the prestigious institutions (
Ajuntament de Barcelona, BTV, COMRàdio, L'Auditori, ICUB,
Generalitat de Catalunya, Bombers, etc.) with demand in quality. The student creates a product that has a post and consolidated broadcasting to their personal curriculum.
