This carefully reconditioned space is located in a traditional place in the heart of the historic Gothic Quarter.

Displaying warm and detailed decoration, El Somatruites has become the ideal place for groups and couples interested in discovering an outstanding venue. An occasionally exotic element conveys to this restaurant a peculiar magic.

Chillout music creates an up-to-date ambience in a markedly traditional environment.

The menu is diversified and offers an excellent choice at midday. Much recommended are ´Tallarines sucios´, translated as ´dirty noodles´ with crayfish and ´trompetas de la muerte”, translated as ´death trumpets´, which are mushrooms from the Pyrennaican forest, covered with squid ink sauce, or the exquisite duck Magret with chestnut sauce.

Customers are varied and range from entrepeneurs to local neighbours at noon, to couples and young groups, to bohemian artists in the evening.

From midnight on Fridays and Saturdays to half past two, the place offers the possibility to have drinks (together with traditional drinks, mojitos and caipirinhas are served).
