Who doesn't know Borneo bar, doesn't know the nightlife at El Born. This bar opened in 93, right after the Olympics; when in the quarter, there were but half a dozen of night options. Located in a former banana warehouse, Borneo is undoubtedly, a quarter local bar, that has managed to maintain itself always very in. The music is faithful to the trends (Spanish, Flamenco, electronic pop, lounge) and the public oscillating on the 30's is always diversified, assuring a variety of faces every weekend.

The décor has barely changed throughout these recent years. The huge windows onto the street invite over the passers-by who gladly mingle and chat both downstairs and upstairs, a bit more selective.

From Thursday onwards the bar is set in motion, but during the week is more tranquil and relaxed. We ought to remind that Borneo is an evening local, a night bar that only opens at 20:00.

There are photograph exhibitions and old pictures are shown, dating from the early cinema. Also works by local artist can be viewed.

Available is a very fine selection of world teas and a short list of Spanish wines at reasonable prices.

The cocktails are another of the attractions. Particularly the Mojitos and Caipirinhas, very authentic and truly artisan like. The little secrets of the house, warrant the success of a "must" in the night life of the Old Town, which only closes yearly, on the first of January.
