In a rustic venue of the Gothic, this Genovese focacceria is located, imported from London quarter of Chelsea by the owner, Italo Sanguineti.
The cuisine is from the North (Liguria, Friuli and Emilia Romagna) and Sicilian. A different Italian restaurant from what we are accustomed to, which serves classical food from imported products of the country of origin.
The décor is fine and the atmosphere youthful and relaxed; jazz and blues providing the musical background.
Italo Sanguineti, Michelle Paolantonio and staff prepares entrées: the antipasti. A mix of stuffed hors d’oeuvre and cheese with garlic bread, Carpaccios or the smoked salmon rolls and Mascarpone.
The highest recommended salads are the one of cottage cheese, nuts and honey or the one of rocket with mozzarella and fresh tomato.
There is a score of traditional pizzas and house specials created by Davide Piccineli and some fifteen homemade pastas of which we point out Sorrisi Mediterranei al pesto rosso and the fresh pasta Stracci ai funghi porcini or the Entrecôte (fillet steak) with green peppers.
