In a XIX Century building, in the venue that was
Pablo Picasso's first studio in Barcelona, now exists a restaurant, already here for almost a decade, but which ever since 2004 shines under a renovated décor, a new concept and cuisine in charge of chef Xavi Sanromà.
The place is indeed large and has four different spaces, including a private salon for groups and business dinners. Special reservation for large groups are accepted, for which we advise to reserve in case of previously booked events.
Clàssic Gòtic a restaurant with a subdued light and warm ambience, which welcomes the guest with stuffed olives and a shot appetizer amidst the sound of the most chilled chillout.
The Gastronomic proposition is based on the experiences absorbed by the chef on his stays over different places in different continents, combined with the Mediterranean and Catalan cuisine.
As a starter, we recommend la Coca with aniseed or the prawn salad, then the creamed Cep mushroom rice, the Iberian fillet and to finish off, some of the day's desserts parading on plates to be selected.
Of the more than twenty exclusively Spanish reference wines we advise the Martin Coda white and the red Rioja Remellur Reserva. Complimentary for Barceloca users: a "chupito" (shot) as an after meal drink.
