See videoThe fourth venture by the Neapolitans of Muriviecchi, I Raggazzi and of the neighbouring Posto al Sole, is named Gusto, with total propriety; a cafeteria and Trattoria restaurant, sober in decor, youthful in service and traditional, as a gastronomic proposal.
Bordeaux chairs and wooden tables, go along finely with whitewashed stone walls, combining elegance with innovation. On the walls, black and white portraits of the most famous Neapolitan diva of all times, Sophia Loren, living icon of the world's cinematography and pride of all Italians. In the evening, the setting is «dressed up» by jazz rhythms, Brazilian music and chill out.
Downstairs, where there is a non-smoking area, has been envisaged for small groups and couples, whereas the upper floor, wide and spacious, is meant for parties of a larger scale.
As far as the culinary aspect is concerned, there is a wide offer among salads, carpaccios, pastas and pizzas. We recommend la Rueda de Mozzarella, as an entrée, to be followed by the smoked Provola (oven baked cheese in a clay casserole), meat and fish Carpaccios, the Gnocchi, the Cannelloni or the Lasagne. To finish off, the chocolate soufflé or any of the rich ice-creams are excellent options.
The wood oven pizzas are another treat. There are about twenty to choose from and our suggestions are the Gamberi and Rucola.
This varied offer of the Italian cuisine is accompanied by one of the twenty wines of the country. Our preference goes to the red Larghe Rosso and to the white Pinot Grigio 2004.
