It is one of the oldest beaches of Barcelona and it´s situated West

Situated in the Ciutat Vella district, the San Sebastian Beach is one of the oldest and with more tradition in Barcelona. With its 1,100 metres in longitude, it is also one of the biggest and situated in the West.

It accommodates various important sporting groups that offer a variety of maritime activities, on the contrary to Playa de la Nova Mar Bella, it is the preferred amongst men and has middle aged people frequent.

Aunque muchos de sus usuarios son extranjeros, esta playa es la que concentra una mayor afluencia de ciudadanos de la misma Barcelona. Asimismo, en muchas ocasiones también es la elegida por los grupos de recreo infantil y las escuelas locales.

Although a lot of the visitors are foreigners, this beach brings together the influx of locals of the same Barcelona. As well, in many occasions it is also selected by children´s recreational groups and local schools.

It is one of the most adequate beaches to be reached by public transport and disposes of an area for people with reduced mobility facilitating the entrance and the exit of the water by means of footbridge and offers the possibility of using an amphibious chair and elevator crane.

As well, parking for bikes are available and, public toilets, showers, umbrella and deck chair services, amongst others.
