What was a well known Basque restaurant in the Gothic Quarter, Boga has maintained the original name but changed its concept and the type of its cuisine. The Italian owners make it a point to offer popular straightforward Italian cuisine, having as a basis fresh products.
Together with "Tapas", both Italian and Spanish, as well as preserving the bar/cafeteria concept, so much in tune with the quarter.
The place is very ample and was recently renewed, keeping the stone walls and the wooden arches in a décor which is a cross between the traditional tavern and modernity, in black and red tones.
It is the ideal space to celebrate group suppers. Besides the basement, designed for eighty places, it offers a big room upstairs, where parties can be held for large groups.
To eat, among pizzas, pasta, salads and tapas we recommend the most popular dishes of the house: as entry, the Carpaccio or the delicatessen and cheeses; as a main, either the Fiucchetti filled with pear with Gorgonzola sauce, or the Panzerotti Funghi Porcini (mushrooms); of the pizzas, we point out the La Divola (with spicy Italian Salami) or the Boga pizza (Mozzarella, rocket, Parmesan and fresh mushrooms); and to finish the traditional Tiramisú. All this can be rounded up with a fine Italian coffee.
The Midday menu, usually served to university students and workers, is made up by a first, a second, and a dessert or coffee (8,50). For groups, in the evenings, menus on demand are available, depending on a previous notice (phone call).
The cellar offer is made up by about 20 Spanish and Italian references, of which, we point out the Monte Puliciano (Italy) and the Enate (Somantano) among the reds, and El Trebbiano (Abruzzo, Italy), the also transalpine Chianti and Lambrusco, from the white ones and rosés.
