See videoA "Meeting point between gastronomy, culture and art", this is as one may define this restaurant, which opened in '99 and located at the very heart of the El Born Quarter.
Its bistrôt look, the environment and the décor make up for its peculiar charm, but above all, what renders it more special and explains its overwhelming success is its offer and the relation between quality and price.
It offers a large list, with imported beef from Argentina, famed for its cut, taste and quality; Italian artisan like pastas; pizzas; cheese on charcoal (the famous provoletta); salads and homemade pastry, at very reasonable prices. Also available is the Mediterranean cuisine, owing to the fact that every midday, from Tuesday to Friday, there is a Mediterranean menu with vegetables, fish and pastas.
For lunch time, the menu ranges from 11,00€, with soup as an entée; a selection of three dishes for the second and three dishes as a main, the combination of them may include a vegetarian option.
The 14,00€ menu, includes salad as a starter and an Argentinean entrecôt (a 300gr rib), with dressing, as a main, plus drink and dessert.
The place has reserved areas for groups and if you are looking for a bit more intimacy, the Foro Club, downstairs is indeed a cosy place where to dine, have a drink, listen to the jam sessions on Wednesdays or to see the Flamenco shows on Sundays.
On the walls and the display cabinets, every month are displayed art work, giving predominance to the novel artists. On Thursday evenings the magician Nicolás goes by the tables to liven up the dinner and to delight diners with his illusions.
